What Makes Clarity Different

  • Two aligner strengths. Dr. Schuler can choose a gentler or firmer aligner for different stages of your case.
  • A straight edge along the gumline. Designed for comfort, a cleaner look, and a secure fit.
  • Designed to stay clear. Nearly invisible and made to resist staining.
  • Precision Grip Attachments. The small tooth-colored bumps are 3D-printed to fit your teeth and placed in one step, for quicker placement appointments. Only Clarity offers them.

Clear Aligner FAQ

How do clear aligners work?

You wear a series of custom trays, switching to each new set on a schedule Dr. Schuler sets for your case. Each set moves your teeth slightly closer to their final position.

How many hours a day do I wear them?

About 22 hours a day. Take them out only to eat, drink anything other than water, and brush. Results depend on wearing them consistently.

How long does treatment take?

Most aligner cases take 12 to 24 months, depending on your case. Dr. Schuler will give you a personalized estimate at your free consultation.

What are the small bumps on my teeth?

Some cases need small tooth-colored attachments bonded to a few teeth. They help the aligners grip and move teeth more precisely, and they're removed when treatment ends. With Clarity, these are Precision Grip Attachments, 3D-printed to fit your teeth.

How often will I come in?

Dr. Schuler will check your progress at regular visits and see you at every one. You'll pick up new sets of aligners as you go.

What happens after treatment?

You'll wear a retainer to keep your teeth in place. Your retainers are included in your treatment fee.

How much do clear aligners cost?

Cost depends on the complexity of your case, and Dr. Schuler will give you an exact quote at your free consultation. At our practice, aligners don't cost more than braces. Our fees are below market averages, and we offer flexible in-house payment plans.
